“I believe in me” is one of those statements that could easily be misconstrued as coming from a very arrogant person. When was the last time you told someone, “I don’t believe in me?” We usually don’t like to admit that we are lacking self-confidence in certain areas. Certainly the majority of us do not go around with a sign on our foreheads stating we lack self-confidence. Sadly though others can see the signs of a lack of confidence without the proverbial sign on the forehead. So are you using self-confidence to your benefit? Can you honestly say, “I believe in me?” Let’s look at some ways you and I can sharpen our skills regarding self-confidence.
Believe In Your Abilities
I am short. When I was in the early years of my school career I was very intimidated by children who were taller. Often I allowed my lack of confidence regarding my height to stop me from engaging in sports activities. I would rehearse all they reasons someone of my stature shouldn’t participate. After missing out on so many opportunities I decided to believe in my abilities. I shifted my attitude and my confidence level soared.
Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. Norman Vincent Peale
Continuing The Battle
Often we think that this is a one-time battle. We erroneously think that once we conquer this mindset we will always be free from a lack of self-confidence. Not true!
So how do you accomplish your goals? So often what separates you and I from our goals we desire to achieve is confidence. You can accomplish your dreams by becoming confident and trusting your gifts. Don’t put limits on your life rather expand your borders and know, “I believe in me” is true in your life.
